Apr. 14 – Shakuhachi Fundamentals Workshop, 3pm-6pm at 1051 Pat Burns Ave. Shakuhachi Grandmaster, Alcvin Ryuzen Ramos will talk about fundamental techniques and philosophy and teach a folk piece and honkyoku zen piece to those who would like to gain experience and knowledge of traditional playing techniques and shakuhachi music.  Shakuhachis will be supplied. Sun.  Apr. 15 – Shakuhachi Concert, 2pm , Gabriola Theatre Centre, 1475 Peterson Rd. Shakuhachi Grandmaster, Alcvin Ryuzen Ramos will give a solo performance of traditional and modern compositions for shakuhachi. His NEW CD and shakuhachi flutes will be on sale. General Admission: $20 per person; $15 for seniors/students; $5 children under 5.
